Syd Sincock was a highly decorated basketball player in his two years for the College. He was a two-year letterwinner for the Regents, attending the school from 1972-1975. Sincock received many post-season accolades while in a Regent uniform. He was named the team Captain and Most Valuable Player in 1975. In 1974 and 1975 he earned Northern Illinois Iowa Conference First Team recognition. During the 1975 season, Sincock, led the team in scoring averaging just under 19 points per game. Beyond the conference and team accolades, he notched NAIA District #20 First Team recognition in 1975. At the conclusion of the 1975 season he was named First Team All-State in the Peoria Journal Star. 

Not only was he outstanding on the court, Sincock, received All-Academic recognition from the NAIA and NIIC in 1975. After all of his phenomenal work on and off the court, the College named him the Athlete-of-the-Year in 1974-1975. Sincock also was named to the President's Cup in 1974-75.
